About

Katy Wood is a Registered Psychotherapist providing counselling services to adults and couples in Collingwood, the Georgian Bay area, and virtually across Ontario. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Philosophy from the University of British Columbia.

Katy brings a thoughtful, person-centred approach to therapy, grounded in building authentic, meaningful relationships with her clients. She creates a safe, supportive space where individuals and couples can explore their experiences, challenge unhelpful patterns, and move toward meaningful change. Her work is collaborative and tailored to each client, drawing from a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed practices.

Katy supports clients navigating relationship challenges, identity and self-image, grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and neurodivergence. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, informed by modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, psychodynamic and narrative approaches, as well as Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Originally from the West Coast, Katy has called Collingwood home since 2017. Outside of her practice, she enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
